BPO's PROS & CONS

PROS & CONS of BPO:

The BPO culture in India has always been under controversies of all sorts, be it their shift timings, lifestyle of their employees, cab accidents etc. Recently the famous author Chetan Bhagat exposed the different sides of the business with his book “One Night @ the Call Centre”.

Although the so called CONS of the BPO’s can’t be ignored but lets just not forget that nothing is perfect and even before the coming up of this sector in India, the media industry, the hospitality sector, medical industry etc followed the same kind of work culture.

The PROS of the BPO’s leave everything far behind. We cannot ignore the fact that India’s GDP has witnessed tremendous increase due to this outsourcing companies. This industry has been a major factor in solving the huge employment problem that a developing nation like India faces. The employee benefits, compensation, work environment, career growth prospects, working conditions etc are undoubtedly the best. It is one of the only few sectors which not only encourage but even fund their employees’ for further studies. They have tie-ups with educational institutions for the employees. The satisfaction rate of the employees has increased significantly due to various factors and has the industry has proved its worthiness with its work. In conclusion we can say that BPO’s are a big boon for the Indian economy
