Majored from Columbia College, Columbia University, New York in Political Science with specialization in Inrenational Relations
Graduated from Harvard Law School

Work:
Worked as Community Organizer and practised as Civil Rights attorney
Taught Constitutional Law at University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004
Served three terms in Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004
